I have been appointed Chairperson of the newly formed Bishop's Stortford branch of Leukaemia Research.
Those who shop at Waitrose will know of their 'three local charities a month' project. They have promised, now that there is a local branch of Leukaemia Research, to include it in a few weeks time.
If your own personal charity is not amongst the three can I ask you if you would be kind enough to  place your disc in this charity.
Also, if your own charity does not have a local branch it may be worth urging for one so that it also can take part in the Waitrose project.

Dear Friends
New Year Services 2009

You are most warmly invited to our Epiphany and Christingle services at All Saints.  They are as follows:

Sunday 11 January (Epiphany & The Baptism of Christ)

10.00 am  All-Age Parish Mass

This service will take the form of an informal Family Mass (Holy Communion Service).  The service is designed to include everyone ? whether accustomed to receiving holy communion or not, EVERYONE is welcome.  The service will be followed by Parish Breakfast in the Vestries, to which all are warmly invited.

Sunday 18 January

4.00 pm  Christingle Service.  We celebrate Jesus, the Light of the World, in this candlelit service, at which all families and children are welcome.  There will be an opportunity to bring monetary gifts for the work of The Children?s Society, and each child (under supervision) will receive a lit Christingle.

We look forward to seeing you, and wish you a Happy New Year.

Father Kevin
Parish Priest

Advance Notice:  The next All-Age Parish Mass will be at 10.00 am on Sunday 1 February 2009, to celebrate Candlemas (the presentation of Christ in the temple).  Please note that from February 2009 All-Age services will revert to the First Sunday of the month.
